Rudy Duran is our diving “Guru” with 20 years experience leading divers to an endless array of dive sights in the beautiful clear waters of Belize’s Carribean coast. Rudy and his expert dive staff at Island Divers Belize are magic. They know by heart the undersea world on the reef in Belize. If your desire is to have an intimate encounter with undersea life they know where each and every creature lives. After seeing Rudy and his dive guides interact with marine life underwater you will swear that the undersea life knows them, too… and trusts them as friends. Rudy Duran is the reason for our existence. Rudy has been leading divers in Belize since 1992. He has thousands of dives under his belt. Rudy’s knowledge of the reef is unparalleled and his easy going nature is what brings divers and adventure seekers back to San Pedro Town again and again.

Neftali Lemus ”Nef” is the second member of our team. Nef is an experienced boat captain and began his diving career doing research with dolphins and manatees. Nef is a licensed PADI instructor, tour guide and whale shark guide. Nef was born in Guatemala and was raised in Belize. Both Rudy and Nef are typical of most Belizians in that they speak English, Spanish and Belize’s own brand of Creole.

Eder Gonzoles “Loidy” is the newest divemaster at Island Divers Belize. When Loidy isn’t diving, he’s usually found spearing fish around the dock. If you ask nicely, he may have some snapper for you.
